The Halvern Climate Duo 12K — Ductless Mini Split Heat Pump

The 12,000 BTU unit is sized for roughly 450-550 sq ft — a bedroom, home office, garage, converted attic, or a small open living area. For larger spaces you'd want a higher BTU unit, but our larger models have sold out.

Both — it's a true heat pump. It cools in summer and reverses to heat efficiently in winter, so it's a year-round system rather than a seasonal AC. That's what makes it worth installing versus a window unit.

The 115V plugs into a standard household outlet with no electrical work — ideal for garages, bedrooms, and anywhere you don't have 220V wiring. The 220V runs on a dedicated circuit and is the typical choice if you already have that service available. Pick based on what your space has.

Everything for the unit itself — indoor air handler, outdoor condenser, connecting line set, mounting bracket and hardware, and remote control. Unlike some competitors who leave out the cord and screws, we don't make you track down the essentials.

It ships as a DIY-friendly kit, but we recommend a licensed HVAC tech handle the final line-set connection and vacuum/charge to keep performance right and your warranty valid. Many customers mount it themselves and pay a pro just for the hookup, which is still far cheaper than a full install quote.
